From Dr. Pilato:
This itinerary presents the basic schedule including the main places that we will visit, eat, and stay. It does not include details of the various sites we will see in each place, but I will share some of those details when we meet prior to departure. Each day we will have breakfast together and one big meal as well as one meal on your own with time to explore each area beautiful and unique area.
Giuseppe “Peppe” Giordano and myself will travel with you by private transport (small touring van with driver). With Peppe along, you can confidently expect some wonderful surprises in addition to the basic itinerary below!

Arrive in Catania

DAY 2 – Saturday June 17
Breakfast at San Max Hotel
A.M. City of Catania, including a visit to the "Fera du 'Luni" market
Pronzo (Big Lunch ) with group at Laetitia restaurant.
P.M. Visit to the "chimneys" (industrial architecture) and see a traditional Sicilian puppet show
Dinner on your own

DAY 3 – Sunday June 18
Breakfast at San Max Hotel
A.M. Modica, a baroque city (famous for Sicilian chocolate)
Typical Pronzo with group in Modica, farm.
Visit Ragusa (famous for cheese)
P.M. Return to Catania,

DAY 4 – Monday June 19
Breakfast at San Max Hotel
A.M. Mount Etna (active volcano).
Short stop in the city of Santa Venarina & visit ancient Russian bar / tasting of typical Sicilian pastry
Short hike in Piano Provenzano (Mt. Etna) 2200m.
Visit Taormina (think absolutely beautiful mountain city!)
Lunch on your own in Taormina
P.M. Randazzo.
Dinner/Cena with group (agriturisimo- Sicilian farm/hotel)
Overnight at the agriturisimo farmhouse
DAY 5 – Tuesday June 20
Breakfast at the farmhouse.
A.M. Visit the city of Randazzo.
Pranzo at the farm in area of Nebrodi.
Departure to the port of Milazzo
Transfer from Milazzo to the Island of Salina (ferry or hydrofoil).
P.M. Arrival in Salina and dinner on your own
Overnight at a Salina hotel
DAY 6 – Wednesday June 21
Breakfast at the hotel in Salina
A.M.+ Tour of Salina island and area on boat with typical pronzo
P.M. Return to Salina and dinner on your own
DAY 7 – Thursday June 22
Breakfast at the hotel in Salina
A.M. Transfer from Salina to island of Lipari (ferry or hydrofoil).
Free day to visit the island of Lipari (pronzo on your own & shopping!)
P.M. departure from Lipari to Milazzo (ferry or hydrofoil).
Transfer from Milazzo to Cefalu.
Cefalu group dinner/cena and overnight in Cefalu hotel
DAY 8 – Friday June 23
Breakfast at Cefalu hotel
A.M. Visit Castelbuone (Monti Madonie)
Group Pronzo
P.M. Arrive In Palermo. Dinner on your own.
Day 9 – Saturday June 24
A.M. Visit Monreale, Duomo & City
Return to Palermo
Final pronzo: Villa Malfitano (home of the Whitaker Foundation)
Last evening : dinner on your own and free evening (or we can organize something!)
P.M. Overnight in Palermo
Day 10 – Sunday June 25
Breakfast in hotel and depart for home...
